Sta\u0146islavs Gendelis, a senior researcher at the Institute of Numerical Modelling, has carried out a statistical analysis of buildings with issued energy performance certificates in Latvia for the past five years. The performed analysis was published in the journal <em><a href=\"https:\/\/buvinzenierusavieniba.lv\/category\/buvinzenieris\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">B\u016bvin\u017eenieris<\/a><\/em> (<em>in Latvian<\/em> &#8211; Civil Engineer) in the February 2021 issue. The most interesting and important conclusions have been summarised <a href=\"https:\/\/modinst.lu.lv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Energosertifikati_BI78.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">in this article<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since March 2016 energy performance certificates have to be registered in the <a href=\"https:\/\/bis.gov.lv\/bisp\/lv\/epc_documents\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Construction Information System<\/a>, the data from this database is available to the public; this means that anybody can check the energy performance of a specific building. Once per month the <a href=\"https:\/\/data.gov.lv\/dati\/lv\/dataset\/bis_swkx3qxubp9g-wp_zpvciq\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Latvian Open Data Portal<\/a> is updated with information on the energy performance certificates from the Constructions information System.
