Riga City Council’s visit
Photos from Riga City Council’s visit to the UL Academic Centre. Mārtiņš Staķis, the mayor of Riga, and Vilnis Ķirsis, the deputy mayor, also visited the Institute of Numerical Modelling.
Prof. Indriķis Muižnieks, the rector of the University of Latvia, and Prof. Vjačeslavs Kaščējevs met up with the mayor of Riga, Mārtiņš Staķis, and the deputy mayor, Vilnis Ķirsis, to show the Academic Centre of the University of Latvia and the possibilities that it offers. During the visit to the UL Academic Centre, they visited the Institute of Numerical Modelling, where our researchers introduced the mayor and others with the main fields of research in the institute – climate and atmosphere modelling, semiconductor technologies and thermal physics of materials etc., they were also introduced to the staff and shown the premises of the Institute of Numerical Modelling.
